Evan Karagias - the name says it all. A courageous personality in and out of the wrestling ring. After spending three years in North Carolina on a wrestling scholarship, Evan left his home state in pursuit of a modeling/acting career in the Big Apple; New York City - success soon followed. After appearances in Men's Fitness and Men's Workout magazines, Evan was definitely 'noticed' and became a much sought after talent. With a successful print campaign under his belt, Evan secured one of New York City's top talent agents. After defining his acting skills, Evan was quickly seen on the ABC network, an Olympic commercial and numerous Calvin Klein advertisements. The 'buzz' continued around Evan's acting ability, landing him a re-occurring role on ABC's "All My Children". Right around the corner however was a new and exciting offer from a completely different type of entertainment; Professional Wrestling. Coming from an acting background, Evan wasn't ready for the rigorous training schedule at WCW's training facility, The Power Plant, but after 6 months of intense training, he beat the odds, prevailed and made his WCW national television debut in 1998. With natural in-ring skill, not to mention stunning good looks, Evan competed favorably winning four world championships within five years. In December of 1999, Evan struck true gold. Alongside newcomers Shane Helms (Hurricane Helms) and Shannon Moore, the first pro-wrestling 'boy band' was born; Three Count. The trio debuted with a hit single "Can't Get You Out of My Heart" accompanied by a music video. Turning down a World Wrestling Federation (WWE) offer to pursue acting opportunities, Evan carefully chose the opportunity and surprised the wrestling world by showing up at his first AWA Wrestling Entertainment event. Challenging the then champion, "The Underwear Model" Eric Priest and winning his first world championship all in one night. While pursuing acting opportunities is still a priority of r Karagias, he is enjoying once again being on top of the wrestling world. Look for Karagias to be on national television and in major motion pictures while actively holding a World Championship. The World is literally Evans to conquer. |
